Erode trades in cloth and turmeric, and more of both trades now starts on a phone. We build Tamil and English websites for Texvalley wholesalers, turmeric and spice exporters, powerloom and handloom units, and coconut-oil and food brands across Erode district.
AvanceZone Technology designs websites for Erode businesses from our office in Sulur, Coimbatore, where we have been building and hosting sites since 1998. For a Texvalley wholesaler that usually means a catalogue with a "send order on WhatsApp" button. For a turmeric exporter it means product spec sheets and certificate downloads. A 5-page site is ₹9,999 one-time plus hosting, a 15-page CMS site with a catalogue is ₹24,999, and ordering or dealer systems are quoted by scope. We are not based in Erode: small projects run on WhatsApp and video calls, and we visit for larger ones.
A wholesaler, an exporter and a consumer brand need different things from a website. This is how we start each one.
Texvalley, the textile market on the NH-544 bypass at Gangapuram near Chithode, opened in August 2014 and has around 1,599 shops across 1,150,000 sq ft. Retailers who buy there want to see new stock and reorder without a trip. That calls for a catalogue with WhatsApp ordering.
Erode turmeric received its GI tag in 2019 and is known for its high curcumin content. It is traded through four regulated markets, three in Erode and one in Gobichettipalayam. Exporters need spec sheets and documents, not a brochure.
Erode's economy rests on agriculture and textiles, handloom and knitwear included. Powerloom units need a capacity page for job work. Handloom weavers in places like Bhavani and Chennimalai can sell bedsheets and jamakkalam directly through a small store.
Erode is one of the largest coconut and coconut-oil markets in South India, and has a poultry and food-processing base. Brands here need a consumer store or a distributor-enquiry site, depending on who they sell to.

Many Texvalley and Erode cloth-market traders already sell on WhatsApp. They send photos to retailers one by one and take orders in chat. The trouble is that photos get lost in the chat, retailers ask for the same item three times, and nobody can find last month's design.
A catalogue site keeps the photos in one place and leaves the ordering on WhatsApp, where your customers already are:
What the retailer's WhatsApp message looks like
Order from website
Shop: (retailer's shop name), Karur
GSTIN: (filled from the form)
TX-2041 Cotton nighty, set of 6 · 4 sets
TX-1187 Double bedsheet, printed · 10 pcs
Transport: as usual
The items above are an illustration, not a real order. The message arrives as plain text, so it works on any phone and your staff can copy it straight into billing.
Later, if you want the cart to create the invoice and reduce stock automatically, we connect it to your billing system as a custom project. Starting with the catalogue and adding that later keeps the first bill small and lets you see how retailers actually order.
Your Texvalley shop number and block, with a Google Maps pin, go on every page, so retailers who still prefer to visit can find you.
An overseas buyer comparing Erode suppliers wants the same fields from each one. Put them on the page and the enquiries you get are from people who already know your product fits.
| Field | What we put on the page | Why the buyer asks |
|---|---|---|
| Origin | Erode district, the markets you buy from, and the GI name if you are entitled to use it | Buyers paying for Erode origin want it stated and traceable |
| Form | Finger, bulb or powder; polished or unpolished; mesh size for powder | Whole and ground turmeric go to different buyers |
| Curcumin | The range from your own lab reports, with the test method | Extraction and colour buyers price on it |
| Moisture and cleanliness | Maximum moisture and foreign matter, as per your spec | Needed for shelf life and import checks |
| Packing | Bag type and weight, and how much fits in a container | The buyer plans freight before asking for a price |
| Documents | FSSAI licence, Spices Board registration and recent lab reports as PDFs | Compliance teams file them before approving a supplier |
| Enquiry form | Quantity, destination port, Incoterm (FOB or CIF) and a sample request | You can quote from the first message |
On the GI: Erode turmeric's GI tag is a legal protection, not a marketing phrase. Check that you are entitled to use the name before it goes on your site. If you are not, we describe the origin plainly and leave the GI out.
The retailer reordering cotton nighties and the importer asking about curcumin are not reading the same page. For Erode businesses we usually suggest both versions:
Tamil text has to render properly on low-cost Android phones and inside WhatsApp's link preview. We use Unicode Tamil fonts and test on real devices, so retailers do not see boxes instead of letters.
You do not need to type anything. Send product names and descriptions in Tamil as WhatsApp messages or photos of your price list, and we set them up. Staff training on the CMS is in Tamil too.
If you send price or stock alerts by SMS, Tamil messages use more credits per message than English ones. Our bulk SMS page explains how that is counted.
A consumer store with pack sizes, your FSSAI licence number on show, payment gateway and shipping rates. Our e-commerce case study shows the order-tracking side.
Product lists, plant certifications and a dealer or distributor enquiry form that asks for district and expected monthly volume.
Number and type of looms, fabric widths, the qualities you weave and a WhatsApp button. Five pages are usually enough.
A small store for bedsheets, towels and jamakkalam with clear photos, sizes and shipping, or a catalogue for bulk buyers.
Corporate sites with capability, machinery and quality pages for suppliers bidding to larger manufacturers.
Daily rates or new-stock alerts to your buyer list by WhatsApp Business API or bulk SMS, linked to the site.

We do not have an Erode office, and we would rather say so than imply one. Here is how the work splits.
A phone or video call in Tamil or English to understand what you sell, who buys it and what your current site or WhatsApp setup looks like.
Erode is close enough for a same-day trip from Sulur. For catalogue, ordering and dealer systems we come for the first meeting and again for staff training.
Photos, price lists, certificates and Tamil descriptions come in on WhatsApp. We write and arrange the pages.
You check the site on your own phone before launch, and send changes as WhatsApp messages or voice notes.
How to add products, change prices and post new arrivals. Record the session and new staff can watch it later.
Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, on +91-95851-60363. Hosting, email and SMS issues are fixed by us, not passed to a supplier.
See also our web design and apps service, the Tiruppur exporter page and all areas we serve.
Share a few product photos and your current price list on WhatsApp. We will reply the same working day with how we would lay out your site and a fixed quote.
