When a company bills clients by the hour, an accurate timesheet isn't admin — it's revenue. A multinational with teams across projects needed to replace a messy mix of spreadsheets with something their finance team could actually trust at month-end.
The hard part: approvals
Logging hours is easy. Getting them approved correctly across managers, projects and cost centres is where most tools fall apart. We built a clean approval chain — employees submit, managers review and approve or send back, and finance sees only verified hours. Every entry ties to a project and task, so utilisation is visible in real time.
Reporting and payroll
We added the reports finance lives in — by employee, by project, by period — and a one-click export that feeds straight into payroll, so there's no re-keying and no transcription errors on payday.
The outcome
Month-end went from a scramble to a routine, billing became defensible because every hour traces back to an approval, and managers stopped chasing people for their hours. It's representative of the back-office software we build through our software development services in Coimbatore.
